We are committed to developing a stimulating learning environment and has a proud
record of producing outstanding academic results. Over the last ten years, it has
established itself as one of the top academic schools in Cape Town. Over the last decade,
Wynberg matriculants have revealed themselves increasingly able to meet the challenges of
the final examination: at the end of
1994: more than two thirds of the Wynberg students attained aggregates above 60% - a
favourable trend which we have been monitoring closely for a significant number of years.
Included in the academic curriculum offered to pupils from Grades
Eight to Matric are the Arts (including Ballet, Art and Music) Languages (including Xhosa,
Latin and French) Commerce and the Sciences. With this broad range of subjects, our
students are able to find their personal strengths and interests, and consequently are
better able to contribute to the economic growth of our country. The teaching staff at
Wynberg are committed to enabling students to achieve the very best that they can.
Students are frequently encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning through
projects and research. Expert assistance and tuition is given by the staff to students not
only during regular teaching hours, but also outside of school hours in the form of
clinics for those pupils who do not feel that they are reaching the goals they have set
for themselves. |
