Michelle Edwards (Badminton) |
- ranked Number 1 (ladies) in South Africa, Michelle is
described by the National selectors as "a talented sportswoman who needs to be
watched closely". She participated in the Sudirman Cup and the World Championships in
Seville Spain from 25 May to 10 June. Read what the selectors have to say

Gail Bristow (Swimming) |
- Gail is placed fourth in the Senior ladies' category in the Midmar
Mile. She holds the record for the most crossings - having swum this race 26 times
- Gail brings home four gold medals and two silver in the South
African Masters' Swimming Championships and is reawarded her South African National
Colours - an award given only to those who qualify in the top ten world ranking!

Lucille Damon (running) |
- August 2001 - first lady home in the "Puffer" - a
race from Cape Point to Cape Town
- June 16 - earns a silver medal in Comrades Marathon
