Introducing the Wynberg Girls' High School Council of 2004

In a number of well-considered and ardently debated meetings in a number of forums over the last few months, the school has devised a system of leadership which we believe is well suited to the needs of our school and society. As a result, in the last few weeks of the third term, a number of leadership positions within the school were applied for, filled and announced. It is with great pleasure that we are able to present our School Council of 2004 - made up of the Head of School and her two deputies, the Heads of the four Pillars of the School, and the Grade Twelve Representative Council of Learners representatives.

You will have heard their vision for the school; you might have witnessed their nervous tension as they prepared for gruelling interviews, and you would have been part of the assembly in which their success was announced.

Although they have certainly been successful candidates in the race to these appointments because of their achievements in the past, it is now that their real work and service to the school will be tested, as they reveal whether the trust invested by the school in them was appropriately placed.

We wish them well in their term of office.
