Introducing the Heads of the Four pillars of the School for 2006

Having survived applying for the job and being interviewed by various panels, the heads of the four pillars were announced to the school in a special assembly on 22 August. We congratulate Kirstin Eloff (Academic), Sarah O'Carroll (Culture), Kirsten Anderson (Sport) and Robyn Mann (Service) - Heads of the Pillars for 2006 - who have assumed these positions of leadership on the School Council.

Responding to the challenge of demanding job descriptions, candidates are invited to apply for these positions. Further than this, they are invited to an interview in which they are encouraged to share their ideas and vision for the school. Each candidate is interviewed by a panel of interviewers made up of the senior staff of Wynberg Girls' High. It was also on this day, 22 August, that the nominations for the RCL closed, and tomorrow the nominees give their speeches to their respective grades. Thereafter, the student body will elect their representatives in a democratic election. All three Grade Eleven representatives elected this year, and who will be in Matric next year will sit on the school council, and two members of the RCL will sit on the School Governing Body.
