Indoor Hockey

Indoor hockey matches take place during the first term. Practices take place at school twice a week at school or at the Military camp. Girls play in a brown skirt, yellow shirt and brown socks and takkies. This is a very exciting game, played with six players a side, lasting 25 minutes in total. It is not offered to Grade Eights in the first term.

Wynberg has six teams entered into the various leagues. The team consists of Grade 9 to Grade 12 players and matches take place on Wednesday evenings during the First term. The first team also participates in an inter-school event where results in the past have been extremely promising. Schools from both Northern and Southern suburbs compete in the league with high standards in all teams.
