Wynberg's Player of the Match

On Monday evening, 10 February, when the
Wynberg Cricketers played against Pinelands at Wynberg, the name Carolyn Jones was on
everybody's lips. Not only did she make a decisive catch at the slips, she also made an
impressive 55 not out. Facing the opening bowlers and seeing through all 20 overs, Carolyn
hit a flurry of sixes and fours in her total of 55 runs against Pinelands. Not only is
Carolyn and all rounder on the cricket field, she bowled 4 overs for 29 runs. She is also
an all rounder on the sports fields in general She represents Wynberg Girl's High in the
1st Tennis Squad, and plays Waterpolo and indoor hockey.
At 14 years of age she is certainly a face of the future at Wynberg Girls' High.
