"I am so excited by the progress the synchro team has made in only one term," were Sue's words before the team put on a stunning display at the opening ceremony of the Interschools' Gala held at Newlands on Wednesday 6 March. The Wynberg Girls' displayed a thoroughly professional routine combining sections from their "Zorro" routine, one of Micheala's solo routines and a section of the Mandosa duet performed by Michaela and her younger sister, Lindsay. In their bright yellow costumes, and African beads, these two amazed the audience with their staggering feats in the water. The synchro swimmers at Wynberg are very excited by the challenges Sue has set out for them. so much so, that thay are prepared to brave the rain and wind of winter, and continue their training through these cold months to ensure that their routines will be the very best that there is to offer in the province! |
