Lynne Hickey (now Beneka). Matriculated 1984 wrote to us in
February 2003: "I emigrated to New Zealand in 1999 with my husband, Frits, and two
boys, Matthew (now 9) and Bradley(now 5). We're living in a small, scenic rural village on
the very outskirts of Auckland. A stunning scenic spot where the kids can roam free, ride
bikes, catch crabs and swing from the trees without our eagle eyes always watching them.
There is also a huge South African community and a South African Kaffee that keeps us
supplied with the favourites from home....like Savannahs, beers, Nic-Naks, Rooibos Tea,
biltong and the likes. I work out in the community as a "Well Child and Family
Nurse". This incorporated an extra year of Part-time Study, but was well worth it as
I love what I do. I home visit all the newborns in the area until the babies are older and
able to come to the clinic and work closely with the Moms and their issues....then liaise
and network with the huge number of other community organisations. The families are under
our care until the child goes to school at 5. I look forward to hearing from anyone from
'84 or anyone living in Auckland or wanting to visit. Kassel Shelli (1984) now Single is trying to get hold of all matrics to organise a 20 year reunion! Her e-mail address is typinggalore@telkomsa.net Robertson

I matriculated in 1981 and have been living in Canada since 1991, having met and married a Canadian, Jay, in Cape Town many years ago. We have three children: Stefan, 13, Conor, 10, and Emma who is 7. I recently found your website when I was asked to do an Immigration presentation to Conor's grade 5 class, particularly in respect to how my life was different in South Africa in grade 5 to how they live their lives here in Canada now." I got married earlier in the year and am expecting my third baby (first one by this marriage, of course) any day between now and Christmas. 1980 Deidre Couzens (Dee), (1980) wrote to us in February 2004: "I was in 10B and also a boarder. I

those ladies that would be great or otherwise send me their email address." A snippet about me - I married a Wynberg Boy, Ian Pears, we have two boys, Travis is 8 in grade 2 and Vaughn is 6 in Grade 1 and they go to St John's in Johannesburg. We presently live in Weltevredenpark, but have almost completed our new home in Houghton, into which we will be moving in December. I have had contact with Sue Paynter - she is living in Switzerland and also has two boys slightly older than mine, and Michelle Rossiter who last I knew was living in New Zealand and had just had a little boy - plus minus about 3 years ago.
