Small Tribute to Mrs Prinsloo At
the end of April, Wynberg Girls' High bade farewell to Deputy Principal, Karen Prinsloo. Pupils, colleagues and parents alike will sorely
miss the enthusiasm and commitment that Ms Prinsloo has shown over the years. In
her time at Wynberg she has been an integral part of the system. Her credentials here included being part of the
Home Economics, Geography, Physical Education, Computer Studies and Art faculties, proving
herself to be a Karen of all Trades.
Her
pupils will not forget her infectious enthusiasm in class that she injected into every
single lesson and her ability to make the least interesting sections of work the most
exciting. An "Old Girl", herself,
she always had the spirit of the school with her and was undoubtedly a huge asset to the
school. We
thank her for the effort and time that she endlessly placed in the school. We will not forget Mrs Prinsloo quickly. Lauren Reid Images from the special assembly held to say goodbye to her.
After we had sung one of her favourite hymns and she had received tributes from a number of speakers, including Mrs Harding, Mrs McEwen, Mrs Wilding and one of her students, the school paid tribute to her by singing a song written by Janet Borril. A section of it can be heard here.
