Update on Lindy - October 2003
Lindy has been extremely ill for the last five weeks. Because her immune system is so low, and
she can't fight infections, she developed a fungal infection in her brain. She has had three brain
operations in the last few weeks.
Now she has turned the corner, the infection has died but she is very weak after all this time of
illness and being in bed. She is still in hospital and will be for some time as she builds up her
immune system and her strength.
For those who knew her at school or had contact with her, it is really great for her to
receive some notes about what happens at school. Her Mom reads all the notes to her, and they
then can
discuss the things that are happening here.
If you, or your class, are interested in doing something for her, you can write a letter and someone can put
them together in a bundle. If they are left at the office we will see that they get to the hospital.
Please do remember her and her family in your prayers.
