Muslim Students' Association High Tea

Tables were laden, candles light, and delicious eats adorned the tables in our school hall on 30 October. Slowly people started to filter in as it drew near to 8:00pm. Numerous Southern Suburbs schools were invited to come and support the Wynberg Girls' Muslim Students' Association High Tea. Amongst those who attended were Plumstead High, SACs, Wynberg Boys', Rustenburg, San Souci.

The evening started off with Rizqu Sulaimon (our newly-appointed head of Mulim Students' Association) welcoming our guests. Following this, the head organizer of Muslim Hands, told us more about their quest, the important meaning of Zakoh (charity) and how the prophet, S.A.W., had perceived it.

Mishkah, Rizqa's six-year-old cousin, then performed an enjoyable, traditional Indian dance. This was followed by a fashion show, showing young Muslim girls how to dress in a traditional yet fashionable manner. Everyone was then invited to fill themselves with all the scrumptious dessert and tea.

All in all, it proved to be a most enjoyable, and relaxing evening which went off most successfully.
