ANNUAL SPEECH COMPETITION

 The annual speech competition took place on Wednesday, 1 August.   The contestants were

Seniors

Emily Veitch
Allanah Wilson
Michaela Nevin
Clair Wright

Juniors

Jenny Williamson
Abbey
Lindsey Nevin
Carmen Kosterman

Here some of our speakers are seen with teachers,
Mrs Sparks and Mrs Kourie,
who have spent hours with them
listening to them,
training and encouraging them

The trophy for the best speaker in the Senior Section was awarded to Emily Veitch, while the best speaker in the Junior Section was Jenny Williamson.  Jenny Williamson has won the Junior Cup two years in a row.

Each participant presented a prepared and then an impromptu speech.  The standard was extremely high and it was noted that practice had definitely benefited the speakers in the past year.
