The evidence is already there …

we are celebrating our imaginations,

our creativity …

our culture.

As you walk from one side of the school to the other, the sounds of the Festival can be heard quite clearly. They echo in the rhythmic beat of the Xhosa society's songs; they flow out of the music block in tunes and melodies from a variety of instruments, and they soar from the voices of the choir assembled in the main hall.

There is rehearsing of dance on the grass outside the Home Economics block; choreographing of steps in the driveway, behind trees… before an audience of bricks and sand - as the building of the tuckshop bears witness to their work.

And there is a celebration of language - in French, in Xhosa, in English, in Afrikaans …We are revisiting District Six through the eyes of poets such as I.D. du Plessis and Uys Krige.

The festival affords you the opportunity to see works in progress - in drama, in the visual arts - and completed works.

It truly is a feast for all. Come and feast with us on 5 April - from 6 to 9pm. We will provide you with an International Food Fair and Entertainment Deluxe. This is not something you and your friends should miss.
