BALLET

We are very fortunate to have Ballet as a subject choice, as there are very few schools in the Western Cape that offer dance. We are also privileged to have Carol Shapiro-Dodds as our teacher who puts in an enormous amount of hard work.

The subject consists of theory that covers health (including anatomy) and the history of ballet and the theory of ballet; as well as the practical aspect. Not only do we take part in school exams, but we also enjoy Dance Performance when we present our annual Dance Festival.

The dance studio boasts a beautiful wooden sprung floor and is equipped with the necessary mirrors and movable bars, and changing facilities.
