Western Cape Schools Arts and Cultural Festival

There are times when we, as educators at a school such as ours, have to pinch ourselves to remind us of the fact that we are not dreaming. The exquisite movements of our Grade Eleven girls, their grace, their form, their beauty combined with the creative imagination of their teacher, Carol Shapiro-Dodds, provides just such a moment

Having just wizzed through the choreography of our Major Production, Carol Shapiro-Dodds has been invited to include the Wynberg Ballet girls in the Western Cape Schools' Arts Festival. There is little rest for this wonderfully creative and talented teacher, as she begins working with her gorgeous and gracious Grade Elevens for an item at the Festival to be held at the Nico Malan Theatre in the last weeks of August.

We were delighted to catch them rehearsing for their performances. While we can allow you to watch them practising online, their performances are taking place on 22 and 25 August. Why not find your way to the Nico to see what the schools in the Western Cape have to offer in the form of Arts and Culture?
