Every year, the matric exhibition stands as a testament to the extraordinally high standard of work produced by our art students. This year was no exception. On Friday, 17th October, the work of the matric learners was on display in the art room and in room 17, available for viewing by friends, family and the otherwise artistically-inclined. On display there was a variety of styles from Kristy Hartjes impeccable technique to the more emotive brush-strokes of Kimberley Roodt. Media used included the deeply moving charcoal works of Jamie-Lee Matthews to Caitlin Davies Coleman's film and brown paper. Once again, Shirley Cartmel provided a delicious array of refreshments and it was there that Shirley Harding commended the girls and Ms Vosloo on the extraordinary standards of work that they had produced. There were indeed a number of very proud pupils and parents. The exhibition marks the end of the practical component of Art for the matrics, and we wish them well for their theory exams!
